Skyler Vander Molen is a Bay Area based multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, musician and creative director.
Working across art direction, design, film direction and production, his commercial work explores the human experience by evoking raw emotional landscapes through rich, intimate visuals.
His music videos for Pink Siifu, Fly Anakin, Ovrkast. and Navy Blue have been featured in Rolling Stone, The Fader, Pitchfork, Brooklyn Vegan and Hypebeast and exhibited at events with Smart Bomb, Loud Cinema and Grey Area. In 2020 his music video for Ovrkast’s “Face” was named one of Rolling Stone’s best rap videos of the year.
With a strong DIY ethos drawing on the lineage of hip-hop and Detroit techno, Skyler’s musical practice leans into the soulful, spiritual side of the underground strains of techno and dance music.
At the root of all of his creative work is a love of humanity and a belief in the transformative power of collective experiences in music and film.
Originally from Central Florida, Skyler lives and works in San Francisco, California.
