Postmates (2010-2011)

Art Direction, Product Design, Visual Design

From 2011-2012 I was responsible for everything from product design to marketing and communication design. One of my first projects at Postmates was to design the app

When Postmates first launched, it was essentially an on-demand courier. To book a delivery, users would enter a pickup and drop-off address, a description, and a photo. A few seconds later a courier would be on their way to pick up and deliver your package and you'd get real time updates on their location and progress.

Shortly after we pivoted to focus on food deliver, the Get it Now app was born, and the rest is history.

Get it Now (2012)

After struggling to find market fit as a merchant focused courier app, the team spent a week hacking on a revamped version of Postmates tailored to ordering food.

We called this weekend hack “Get it Now” and it eventually became what is now the Postmates app, replacing the previous courier service focused incarnation.
